This will be the 14th annual invitational tournament hosted by the New Orleans Hurricanes Volleyball Club.
Hi there:
Well, I had the schedule done and ready to post and the Alario Center just called to tell me I can have 2 more courts (maybe) won't know definitely until Tuesday. So to keep things from getting confused I wanted to let you know (so you can let your parents know) the following:
AGE GROUPS:
10's will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday and play at De La Salle.
12's will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday and play at the Alario Center
13's will begin at 2:00 AM on Saturday and play at the Alario Center (this may change if I do not get add'l courts)
14's will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday and play at the Alario Center
15's-18's begin at 8:00 AM on Sunday and play at the Alario Center
If anyone needs a hotel I am holding rooms (as it is Mardi Gras) at the Sleep Inn very close to the Alario Center. The rate is: $89, phone number is 504-309-5700, mention Hurricanes Volleyball Tournament or ask for Lisa.
SITE RULES:
PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN FOOD or DRINKS to the Alario Center as you will be asked to throw it away. This includes coffee in the AM. You CANNOT set up tables outside the Alario Center. All outside food MUST be consumed in the parking lot (sorry rules of the facility).
ADMISSION FEE:
Will be $5.00 for anyone 12 and older
COACHES:
There will NOT be a coaches meeting all information will be posted on our website NO LATER than Wednesday, February 8th: www.hurricanesvbc.com. Please note, in some pools the 3rd place finisher of pool play MUST officiate the first round of playoffs. It will be noted on the playoff bracket. Please print out your pool schedule and playoff bracket.
DE LA SALLE:

There is ample bleacher seating, there will be concessions provided by the DLS Volleyball team.
ALARIO CENTER:

You may want to bring your own chair.
